Pampelona – Logrono
96.0km, 6hrs 39mins, 1738m total
climb
Breakfast in the
hotel, cereal and coffee then hit the road. We knew it should be fast
today, we only had to climb out if the Pamplona basin (like a big
crater that Pamplona sits in), and then it was a straight road to
Logrono. We passed through Puenta de Reina, where we had planned to
camp before we stopped in Pamplona for a day off.
We met the old
German guys again as we overtook them up a hill leaving Pamplona.
They were doing about half the km's we were doing, and still pushing
their bikes up hills. We doubted their stats even more now!
We had a double
room with a shared bathroom in a building above an internet cafe. Was
actually a very nice building and I think we had it to ourselves. 35
Euro, with a supermarket 2 mins away. Ideal. We didn’t look around
the town as we have seen a lot of these towns recently. We had turkey
stir-fry with rice for dinner and got an early night!
