We loaded up outside our Campanille
room in the sunshine and set off. We could clearly see the steep
bluff cliffs rising above the Amazonian-looking hills of the Haute
Loire again, now that the clouds have lifted.
We had plotted a nice simple route
without too much elevation, that also took us through some small
villages (that happened to have boulangeries). It was a nice
distracting route and we were in Valence in no time. We achieved our
best so far average speed of 22.2kph. Zoom.
Our journey was so fast, that we even had to wait for our room to be ready. We spend the time sitting in a little café just round the corner.
The apartment was great and the dinner that evening was even greater. Had two big potatoes with tuna. Bonne appetite!
